The SeaBus is the date. Twelve minutes across the harbour at dusk costs a single transit fare and beats most things you could book downtown for eighty dollars.
Land at Lonsdale Quay and the evening is already assembled: a market on the water, a roastery doing proper coffee, candlelit North Indian, an alpine supper room, and city lights across the harbour that you now get to look at instead of stand in. No car, no bridge, no parking math.
Twelve minutes across the water and the city is replaced by mountains.
Then there is Deep Cove, which is almost unfair. Kayaks on Indian Arm, the Quarry Rock walk, a bakery with a doughnut reputation that precedes it, and a waterfront bistro to sit down at afterwards. Edgemont Village keeps the village-y breakfasts, including one served under a century of carved totems, and Lynn Valley handles the days that want a canyon and a suspension bridge instead of a tablecloth.

The North Shore is the cheapest good decision in the region: a twelve minute SeaBus ride and the city is replaced by mountains, inlets and a village that looks like a screensaver. Take the SeaBus at dusk to Lonsdale Quay, eat on the water, and ride back with the city lit up across the harbour. For a daytime version, Deep Cove does kayaks, a short summit walk and a bakery worth the line. Every idea opens into a full plan with real hours and verified prices.
Lower Lonsdale, yes and easily: the SeaBus runs from Waterfront in twelve minutes and the Quay is right there. Deep Cove, Lynn Valley and Edgemont are much better with a car, and each idea page lists the researched parking move.
Deep Cove at golden hour is the honest answer, with the waterfront bistro after. If you want it without the drive, the SeaBus crossing at night does something similar for the price of a bus fare.
Wide range, and that is the appeal: the trails, the cove and the crossing are free or nearly, while the sit-down rooms mostly run $30 to $60 a person, priced from each venue's own menu.
