Locals call it Mother Nature's StairMaster, and that's the gentle version. The Grouse Grind is 2.5 sweaty kilometres straight up Grouse Mountain, gaining 800 metres over roughly 2,830 steps, technically a date if your love language is shared suffering. The genius is the exit: the trail only goes up, so you ride the Skyride gondola down together, jellied and smug. Loser buys the beers at the chalet.
