Cafe Norte fed Edgemont Village until it closed in 1998. Twenty years later Jeremy Mitchell and Katie Moody, the former owners' children, reopened the family idea as Cantina Norte in the Connaught building, about 100 metres from where the original stood. The cooking leans to Mexico's west coast done with BC ingredients, the room is dark brick and warm lamplight with a bar that takes its margaritas seriously, and there is a patio for the months that deserve one. The loyalty card gives every tenth margarita free, which tells you roughly what kind of place this is.
