Want the whole night handled? A gala gives you dinner, a dance floor and a countdown in one ticket, so nobody has to plan a second stop at 11pm. Cascades in Delta includes tax and gratuity in its $100 price, which makes the budget easy. If you'd rather just dance, Daft Disko at the Hollywood Theatre is the low-cost option.

Ringing in the new year on the water sounds dramatic, and it kind of is. Both cruises leave from False Creek, run past midnight and are 19+ on the Burrard Queen. Dress warmer than you think: it's December on the harbour.

There has been no official Vancouver New Year's Eve fireworks show at Canada Place for several years, and none has been announced for 2026.

No official downtown Vancouver New Year's Eve fireworks show had been announced for 2026 when we checked. Grouse Mountain held fireworks last year but had not posted 2026 plans yet.
