Broke & Bougie
Ride the SeaBus across Burrard Inlet, browse 80-plus stalls at Lonsdale Quay Market, and watch downtown light up from North Vancouver.
Here is the move: tap your transit card, board the SeaBus, and cross Burrard Inlet toward North Vancouver. The fare is just regular transit and the harbour crossing feels like a mini cruise. Highly recommend. At the other end, Lonsdale Quay Market sprawls out: 80-plus locally owned stalls of food, baked goods, oddball gift shops, and international eats that make a lazy wander genuinely fun. Browsing costs nothing. Graze if the mood takes you, or just split one snack. Out front, Shipbuilders' Square frames the downtown skyline across the water, and on summer weekends free buskers and the odd yoga class turn up to complete the scene. Time the return SeaBus for dusk. You will sail back toward a city that has just switched all its lights on, which turns out to be one of the more quietly romantic commutes going.
