A 658-seat North Shore theatre where the SeaBus ride home, with city lights on the water, is half the date.
Centennial Theatre is a 658-seat house on Lonsdale, and the Centennial Presents series fills it with music, comedy, dance, and touring shows chosen with enough taste that booking on a whim tends to work out. The room is small enough that there are genuinely no bad seats, which is the kind of logistical gift that pays dividends when you're in the third row and the comedian makes eye contact. It's also, quietly, an excuse to get over to the North Shore: dinner in Lower Lonsdale beforehand, the show, and then the SeaBus ride back across the inlet with the city lights on the water doing what city lights on water always do. You'll both pretend the SeaBus is romantic and discover that it completely is.
