Centennial Theatre is a 658-seat house on Lonsdale, small enough that there are genuinely no bad seats, filled by the Centennial Presents series with music, comedy, dance, and touring shows worth booking on a whim. It doubles as an excuse to cross to the North Shore: dinner in Lower Lonsdale, the show, then the SeaBus back with city lights on the water. You will both pretend it isn't romantic.
