Places to visit in Vancouver
If you only do one thing, make it the Stanley Park Seawall for Vancouver's big outdoor sweep. Then pick by weather: Granville Island Market or the Vancouver Aquarium for rain, and the Museum of Anthropology or Vancouver Art Gallery for culture.

Plan your visit
The Stanley Park Seawall is the headline act, a car-free loop where you navigate by keeping the ocean on one side. That makes it the easiest stop to share with a partner or a friend, or on your own. Pair it with the Vancouver Aquarium, also in Stanley Park, if you want sea otters too. Its 4D theatre is built to make the person beside you grab your arm.
Is the indoor list just a rainy-day fallback? Not at all. The Vancouver Maritime Museum is built around the St. Roch, a 1928 RCMP schooner that crossed the Northwest Passage twice, so the ship did the hard part and you only have to walk around it. The Museum of Vancouver sits in a flying-saucer building, and the Museum of Anthropology is, in our view, worth the trip out to UBC. Check each venue page before you go, since it has the practical details.
