The North Shore's answer to 'where do we even go for Korean up here': bubbling soondubu, soy-garlic chicken, and harbour light afterward.
Bukchon is the North Shore's answer to the 'where do we even go for Korean up here' problem, and it is a very good answer. The warmly-lit Lonsdale bistro does the comfort classics properly: soondubu, the soft-tofu stew that arrives at the table still volcanically bubbling (and keeps you both blowing on spoonfuls like it's your first winter), plus deep-fried soy-garlic chicken to crack into between bites. It's unfussy and intimate rather than flashy, which is exactly what you want when the goal is an easy night over good food rather than a production. At 4.3, it is the standout sit-down Korean option north of the bridge, open late every night, and a short stroll from the Lonsdale Quay seawall if you want to walk off dinner with harbour lights spread across the water. Order the chicken. Finish the whole stew.
