Free Christmas lights in Metro Vancouver

Three displays cost nothing to get in. Lights at Lafarge in Coquitlam opens with a celebration night on November 27. Festive Village at Burnaby Village Museum is free from November 25, with a $2.86 carousel ride if you want one. Lights of Hope at St. Paul's Hospital lights up on November 12, and the foundation says this is its final year on Burrard Street.

Our take: Festive Village is the best free date of the lot, because there's enough to wander through that it feels like an actual outing, not just a quick look.

Christmas lights under $50 for two

Glow Gardens in Langley is $35.98 to $47.98 for two, including the $4 fee per ticket, plus tax, and parking is free. Noël with the Magic of Bright Nights at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds starts at $48 for two before tax and service charges, with free parking. Yes, Bright Nights moved from Stanley Park to Cloverdale.

Christmas lights from $50 to $100 for two

VanDusen Festival of Lights is $56 for two, the same price on every date, with half-hour timed entry. If you're in Victoria or fancy a ferry trip, the Magic of Christmas at Butchart Gardens is $82 for two with tax included.

Our take: VanDusen is the sweet spot for a first holiday date. It's central, the price doesn't jump on weekends, and the timed entry means you're not queueing in the cold.

The splurge Christmas lights dates

Peak of Christmas at Grouse Mountain comes with mountain admission: $148 for two at the Lower Mainland rate or $178 at the regular rate. Canyon Lights at Capilano Suspension Bridge is $150 for two online or $159.90 at the window, plus GST, with $9 parking for up to three hours.

If you live in BC, the math changes: two Capilano resident annual passes cost $156 and include Canyon Lights, so if you'd go back in summer, the pass wins.

Not confirmed for 2026 yet

These had not published 2026 details when we checked. We add them when their organisers do, rather than guess from last year.

How we priced this

Tickets for two adults at the operator's own published price, before tax and fees unless noted. Parking and food are extra. Each figure comes from the operator's own 2026 ticket page, read on October 25, 2026, and we never use review sites or last year's prices.
