Jog off the top of Grouse Mountain with a certified pilot and float over the city for 15 to 20 minutes.
This is the date that ends with a story you'll be telling at every dinner party for the next six months. You ride the gondola up Grouse, clip into a harness with a certified tandem pilot, jog a few steps off the mountainside, and then you're just airborne, sailing 15 to 20 minutes over the city, the inlet, and the North Shore peaks with nothing underfoot but air. The pilot does the flying. You do the gawking. A few practical notes: flights run daily from 11:15 a.m. through the warmer season and same-day bookings go through Grouse Guest Services (a separate gondola ticket gets you to the top). There's a 220 lb, roughly 100 kg weight cap, closed-toe shoes are non-negotiable, and the launch involves a small sprint, which is exactly as alarming as it sounds and over in about three seconds.
