A quiet cottonwood park on the Fraser's south arm with a wildlife viewing stand over the marsh, herons in the reeds, and the Ladner fleet sliding past.
More infoLadner Harbour Park sits on McNeelys Way opposite the yacht club, ten minutes on foot from the village, and it is the closest thing Delta has to a front row seat on the Fraser. Bark and gravel paths run under big cottonwoods to a wildlife viewing stand looking out over the south arm side channels, where herons stand dead still in the reeds, eagles work the far bank and the fishing fleet slides past on its way out. There is a picnic shelter, benches, washrooms and a large off leash meadow, and the Millennium Trail carries on from the north end if an hour is not enough. One honest warning: in high summer the marsh grows mosquitoes, so bring repellent.
