West Van's waterfront walk puts Lions Gate, Stanley Park and the whole downtown skyline across Burrard Inlet at your disposal.
The West Vancouver Centennial Seawalk exists so Vancouver can show you what it looks like from the outside, and the answer is: extremely pleased with itself. Set off from the Ambleside Welcome Figure and the Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, and all of downtown are immediately lined up across Burrard Inlet like they knew you were coming. On the other side, the Coast Mountains. It is 3.5 km of flat, paved promenade to Dundarave Pier, the perfect there-and-back at a slow talking pace, or a one-way amble with coffee waiting at the far end. The piers are back open after their storm-damage repairs, so you can walk all the way out over the water and appreciate the view from its best angle. Go late in the day. The skyline will do the rest.
