Sunset Beach is what you book when English Bay sounds right but the crowd does not. Tucked at the mouth of False Creek, it serves the same west-facing sky with a fraction of the elbows. Walk the seawall down from Davie, watch the False Creek Ferries putter past, and find a grassy slope where the bay, the North Shore peaks, and distant freighters stack into one absurd panorama. The half-hour before sundown is the window. Bring a blanket.
