A winding path drops you into a sunken bowl of flower beds, a stream, and a stone bridge that has appeared in so many wedding photos it probably has a publicist. Climb back out and the lookout hands you the skyline and North Shore mountains mirrored in a still pool. Time it for late afternoon.
Drop down the winding path into the sunken bowl of manicured beds and the stone bridge that's hosted half the region's wedding photos, then climb to the lookout where the skyline lines up behind the reflecting pool. It's free and a lovely slow loop; budget around 75 minutes. If the sky turns, the Bloedel dome next door is a warm backup.
Pick the short garden loop, not the full botanical pilgrimage, and you'll both actually enjoy the view instead of counting switchbacks. Paths change level, so choose a route that suits your stroller and walking pace. Bloedel Conservatory is a separate paid stop, so check its tickets before adding it to the plan.
