More infoLadner was founded in 1868 by the Ladner brothers and grew up as a Fraser River fishing village, and the compact grid around Delta Street has kept the bones. St Andrews Presbyterian Church from 1890, the Old Ladner Baptist Church from 1903, McKee House from 1895 and the 1932 clock tower raised for William Ladner all stand within a few blocks, and the Delta Street art walk has filled the gaps between with murals. Walk it down toward the water and the fishing fleet is still tied up at the boat basin. It costs nothing, takes about an hour, and every shop, brewery and pastry counter worth stopping at sits on the same five blocks.
