Scenic & Romantic
A rare hike you can do in nice shoes, 5 km of coastal forest, rocks at the end, Indian Arm below.
Admiralty Point is the Belcarra walk that feels like a reward with almost no suffering attached. This easy, mostly flat shoreline ramble in Belcarra Regional Park hugs the forest's edge above the water, popping you out at rocky outcrops with wide-open views across Indian Arm to Deep Cove, Mount Seymour and the North Shore. About 5 km round-trip in roughly 90 minutes, with little side-trails out to Cod Rock and Maple Beach if you want to stretch it. Bring a takeaway coffee or a picnic, because the flat rocks at the point are practically designed for sitting hip-to-hip while boats slide by, which makes this feel more like a plan and less like exercise. Free, dog-friendly, family-friendly, open year-round, and doable in the shoes you're already wearing. Sometimes the low-key move is exactly right.
