Stanley Park's quiet inner lake does herons, swans, a 1936 fountain and benches, without a single cyclist in sight.
More infoThe seawall is for cyclists. Lost Lagoon is for people who actually want to look at each other. Stanley Park's quiet inland lake runs a flat, manageable 1.8km, and the whole point is not to hurry. The 1936 Jubilee Fountain rises from the middle of the water and catches its best light at sunset, while herons stalk the shallows and the resident swans know they're the main characters. Benches every hundred metres let you stop mid-sentence.
