Ten minutes through never-logged Douglas firs to warm granite bluffs above the Point Atkinson lighthouse and Howe Sound.
Lighthouse Park has the kind of views that make first-timers slightly annoyed it took them this long to find it. A short walk through towering, never-logged Douglas firs, and then the trees simply stop and you're standing on warm granite bluffs above the Point Atkinson lighthouse with Howe Sound spread out in front of you, Bowen Island in the middle distance, and Vancouver Island visible on a clear day across the strait. Find a flat slab of rock, sit, watch the freighters drift past. The main lookout is about ten minutes in, so the effort-to-drama ratio is embarrassingly generous. Parking is paid and fills up on sunny days, so go early or late. Sunset from the rocks is the move, and it will absolutely make you look like you planned something.
