Grab rentals on Denman, go counter-clockwise, and let 9 km of Coal Harbour yachts and Lions Gate Bridge views do the romantic heavy lifting.
This is the easiest win in Vancouver and you should stop feeling guilty about that. Grab two bikes from the rental shops clustered on Denman Street, point them at the seawall, and pedal the flat, traffic-free, one-way loop counter-clockwise around Stanley Park. It's about 9 km of coastal Vancouver showing off: Coal Harbour yachts, the totem poles, Siwash Rock, the underside of the Lions Gate Bridge, then English Bay opening up just as your legs start asking questions. Most couples take a leisurely hour or two with stops at Third Beach to flop on the sand and feel vaguely accomplished. Regular bikes rent from around $9 an hour, the path runs in one direction so getting lost is structurally impossible, and a dry, breezy afternoon is peak conditions. Lock the bikes. Lose track of time.
