Park at the 8th Avenue lot for the quietest, most scenic entry, it's the pedestrian-and-bike-friendly side and a step up from the busier 16th Avenue lot most people default to. The trails are unpaved but flat and wide (stroller-and-wheelchair-friendly), so wear decent shoes and pick the Perimeter or Inner Loop for a satisfying hour-plus without getting lost. Don't miss the marsh boardwalk for heron and waterfowl spotting, and the heritage buildings tucked in the park if you want a little history with your walk. Pack a blanket and snacks, there are picnic spots and meadows made for it. The park is dawn-to-dusk and dogs must stay leashed, and it pairs perfectly with a winery or cidery five minutes away to turn a walk into a whole outing.
