Hollyburn Peak earns you a story and a view, and the story includes century-old log ski cabins you pass along the way. From the Cypress cross-country base you climb past the historic Hollyburn Lodge, brush by First Lake, then push up a rooty final stretch to a bald summit where the Lions and Howe Sound spread out below. It's about 8 km, so pack water and snacks.
