Hot pools, saunas, a eucalyptus steam room and cold plunges in old-growth forest minutes from Whistler Village, with a golden rule of silence.

More infoScandinave Spa Whistler is a Nordic bath circuit in old-growth forest minutes from the village: hot pools, a eucalyptus steam room, a Finnish sauna and a wood-burning one, then cold plunge pools and Nordic waterfalls. You cycle hot, cold and rest three or four times, and silence is the golden rule everywhere on site, with phones left in the lockers. Robe, towels and locker are included, and once you check in there's no time limit. Worth the drive on a cold day.
Book the Thermal Journey online before the drive up from Vancouver; prices vary by day and season, from $138 on regular-season weekdays to $185 on peak days, taxes extra. It's open daily from 9 am to 10 pm. Bring a bathing suit, which is mandatory, and leave outside food at home. Do three or four cycles: a hot pool or sauna, a cold plunge or the Nordic waterfall, then rest by the fire or in a relaxation room. Silence is the rule everywhere on site and devices stay in the lockers, so save the talking for the drive home. Minimum age is 14. Plan on three to five hours.
