Cozy & Intimate
Vancouver's first natural-wine bar, a tiny bare-bulb Kitsilano room built for organic pours, premium sake, and losing track of time.
Grapes and Soda was Vancouver's first natural-wine bar, and it still carries itself like a secret you got quietly let in on. The room is small on purpose: dark walls, bare-bulb glow, and a handful of tables calibrated to exactly the volume where you can actually hear each other without trying. Servers steer you through a rotating roster of organic, low-intervention bottles, plus premium sake and cocktails that are sharper than they need to be, in the best way. The food is cheese, charcuterie, and seasonal snacks, all designed for slow grazing and one more glass. Get there early or come on the later side. This is a date for losing track of time and only noticing when someone turns the lights up slightly and you both blink.
