More infoDominion sits in the lobby of the Civic Hotel, the Autograph Collection tower that gave Surrey City Centre its first piece of real design swagger. The room is warm wood, low light and a long bar, and the list runs to signature cocktails, award winning BC wines and a rotating craft tap. Happy hour is genuinely good value, the bartenders will build something off menu if you describe a flavour you like, and the room keeps going past midnight from Tuesday to Saturday. King George Station is directly across Central Avenue, so nobody has to nominate a driver.
Come in off Central Avenue, the bar is straight through the Civic Hotel lobby and the stools at the long counter are the seats worth having. Order a signature cocktail, or describe a flavour you like and let them build something, because the BC wine list is unusually good for a hotel room this far from downtown. Happy hour runs weekday afternoons if you want the cheaper way in. King George Station is across the street, so leave the car at home and stay for a second round.
