Arrive at the north foot of Denman St by 6:30 (gates close five minutes before the 7pm sailing, and they mean it), board the MV Harbour Princess, and settle into the West Coast buffet while the live music starts. Take dessert up to the open-air rooftop deck: the route runs Stanley Park and the North Shore as the light drops, and mid-summer the sunset happens on board. Thursday to Sunday, May through mid-September. Request a window table when you book, and bring a layer for after the sun goes.
