Float 30 exists at Reed Point Marina to answer the question nobody knew they were asking: what if your dinner table was, technically, a boat? The restaurant and its heated, blanket-stocked covered patio sit right on the water, so masts sway during the appetizers and the sun drops behind the boats right on cue. The food is fresh BC seafood kept deliberately unfussy: halibut, a proper chowder, seafood pasta, a menu that knows the view is half the show and doesn't try to compete with it. It's casual enough for a spontaneous Tuesday and pretty enough for a proper sunset date, and on a clear evening that patio delivers one of the most quietly romantic seats in Port Moody.
