More infoPEAK 2 PEAK is the reason to ride up Whistler even if you never ski. The gondola runs between the Roundhouse on Whistler Mountain and the Blackcomb side, high above the Fitzsimmons Creek valley, and clear days put the Coast Mountains all around you. It runs in the winter and summer seasons only, so check the operating calendar before the two-hour drive up Highway 99.
Whistler is roughly two hours from Vancouver on Highway 99, traffic depending, so leave early. Buy a sightseeing ticket online first: the summer 2026 adult one-day ticket was $110 for June 13 to September 7, prices vary by day, and PEAK 2 PEAK does not run in the fall shoulder season. Park in the Whistler Village Day Lots, ride the Whistler Village Gondola to the Roundhouse, then cross PEAK 2 PEAK to Blackcomb and back. Dress for the alpine, which runs much colder than the village. Short on time? One return crossing, then back down from the Roundhouse.
