A 2.2 km loop around a lily-padded lake in the middle of Abbotsford, with a boardwalk and mountain views on clear days.
Mill Lake Park, Central Abbotsford
More infoMill Lake is Abbotsford's easy yes. The 2.2 km Lake Loop circles the water on a path the City has been widening and repaving since 2025, with markings planned to separate walkers from cyclists. There's a boardwalk over the shallows, a picnic shelter, and on clear days the mountains line up behind the trees. It's easy, it's free, and it's right in the middle of town.
Park off Mill Lake Road near the boardwalk end of the park and pick a direction; the Lake Loop is 2.2 km on an asphalt path, so a lap takes about 40 minutes at talking pace. The City has been widening and repaving the path, so watch for detour signs if a section is still being finished. Stop on the boardwalk for the lily pads and, on a clear day, the mountains stacked up past the far shore. In summer the spray park and playground get busy near Emerson Street, so the quieter stretch is the side away from them. Short on time? Walk out to the boardwalk and back.
