Kingfishers started in 1996 as a fish and chip stand on River Road and grew into the one proper waterfront table in Maple Ridge. It sits on the bank of the Fraser with the river filling the windows, two seasonal patios plus a covered heated one, and an adults-only bar side behind floor to ceiling sliding glass. The kitchen is West Coast pub cooking done with care, a weekly fresh sheet, scratch sauces, fish that knows where it came from. Closed Mondays, and the river does the rest.
