PoCo's smokehouse and brewhouse on one address: ribs, pulled pork, craft beer and a gin list that no one saw coming.
Patina is downtown Port Coquitlam's answer to the argument that you can't have a serious smokehouse AND a real brewery on the same premises. It turns out you can. Pulled pork, ribs and smokehouse wings come out of a smoker that gets as much attention as the tanks, and the beer is brewed a few steps from where you're sitting, which means you know exactly where it's been. There's also a gin cocktail list, which nobody saw coming and which turns out to be genuinely good. The room runs loud enough that a quiet night still feels like going out, but quiet enough that you can actually hear each other. Order too much. It won't feel like a mistake until tomorrow.
