More infoRay's opened on Mainland Street in April 2026 with a thesis: one room, three moods, zero chance you leave hungry. Daylight Ray's is salads and smash burgers under exposed brick. Dinner Ray's hisses, because the fajitas arrive still arguing with their skillet. Dark Ray's is the one you plan a date around, when the lights drop, the Caramel Macchiato Martini starts making sense, and truffle spaghetti and meatballs becomes a personality trait. The menu is comfort food that tucked its shirt in, priced so a second round is a decision and not a committee meeting, and the daily happy hour runs 2 to 5 then again 10 to close, when a $9 burger becomes Yaletown's most persuasive closing argument. There is also a $225 forty ounce tomahawk that takes forty minutes to cook, for when the date is going suspiciously well.
Book a table for 7 or roll in for the 10pm happy hour like you planned it all along. Split the General Wow Chicken, order mains you will absolutely trade halfway, and finish with the Super Sundae and two spoons, which is a personality test disguised as dessert. If your date orders the forty minute tomahawk on a first date, marry them or run.
