More infoBlaze started as a Mount Pleasant ghost kitchen in 2019 and cooked its way into a real room, and what a room: exposed brick, black metal, Edison bulbs, leather booths and the kitchen on show behind glass. The burgers took a Best of Vancouver award and the menu runs from the Truffle Mushroom Blaze to Bacon and Brie to a proper Falafel Blaze, all halal, with a nut-free kitchen and separate fryers. It books on OpenTable, which almost no burger spot does, and there is a small patio for warm nights. No liquor licence, so plan the drink next door: Brassneck and Main Street Brewing are a five minute walk.
Reserve on OpenTable, the room is small and it fills. Split the Truffle Parmesan Fries whatever else you order, and know the whole menu is halal with a nut-free kitchen if that matters to your date. There is a small patio for warm evenings. No liquor here, which is your excuse to walk the five minutes to Brassneck or Main Street Brewing after, or carry on to the Olympic Village seawall.
