Blaze started as a Mount Pleasant ghost kitchen in 2019 and cooked its way into a real room, and what a room: exposed brick, black metal, Edison bulbs, leather booths and the kitchen on show behind glass. The burgers took a Best of Vancouver award and the menu runs from the Truffle Mushroom Blaze to Bacon and Brie to a proper Falafel Blaze, all halal, with a nut-free kitchen and separate fryers. It books on OpenTable, which almost no burger spot does, and there is a small patio for warm nights. No liquor licence, so plan the drink next door: Brassneck and Main Street Brewing are a five minute walk.
