Inside a heritage building on Moncton Street, Chef Sushila Narain does classic West Coast cooking with real care, the kind that earns regulars rather than chasing trends. The proper way to do this date: arrive early, wander Fisherman's Wharf, buy a prawn directly off a boat (quite possibly the most romantic transaction in Metro Vancouver), walk the dyke trail as the light goes soft, then settle into dinner as the harbour turns golden.
