More infoMusic on Main fills the Roundhouse on Tuesday with three string players who rarely share a stage this side of the Atlantic: Kate Ellis on cello, Caimin Gilmore on double bass and Lavinia Meijer on harp. The programme moves between contemporary classical, folk and electronics, with works by Philip Glass, Gabriella Smith and Benedict Schlepper-Connolly, Meijer's own pieces, and at its centre BlackGate, Gilmore's 2025 debut record. It is a low, glowing kind of Tuesday date. Book a table at Rosalia Osteria on Mainland for house-made pasta first, three minutes away. After the last note, Bartholomew on Mainland pours cocktails late. Doors 7pm, concert 7:30pm, general admission seating, tickets from $25.

Eat at Rosalia Osteria on Mainland Street at 5:45pm, then walk three minutes to the Roundhouse for doors at 7pm; seating is general admission, so arriving early gets better seats.
