Anthony Bourdain went genuinely misty over the original Lunch Lady, and this Commercial Drive incarnation inherited the cult in full, four Bib Gourmand wins and all. Order the bun cha, add the turmeric crepe, and commit to slurping with zero dignity. It is lively, herby and gloriously unpretentious, a date for two people who would rather flirt over great noodles than perform through a tasting menu. Go early.
