Whistler's pedestrian village street, leading to the 2010 Olympic Plaza with its rings, a winter skating rink and summer concerts.
Village Stroll, Whistler Village
More infoThe Village Stroll is Whistler's pedestrian main street, a winding walk of shops, patios and lights through the village to Whistler Olympic Plaza. The plaza is a legacy of the 2010 Winter Games, with the Olympic rings and Paralympic Agitos as the photo stop, an outdoor skating rink in winter and concerts in summer. It costs nothing, it works in any season, and at night in December it glows. From the plaza, the Valley Trail runs off toward the lakes.
Park in the Whistler Day Lots and walk in. Follow the Village Stroll from the gondola base north to Whistler Olympic Plaza, browsing as you go. At the plaza, the Olympic rings and Paralympic Agitos are the photo, and in winter the outdoor rink usually reopens in late November, weather permitting, with skate rentals on site. In summer the plaza hosts concerts. If there's energy left, the paved Valley Trail heads off from the village toward the lakes; about 38 km of it is maintained in winter. Short on time? Rings, photo, and back along the Stroll.
