More infoOn Saturday mornings the parking lot beside Trout Lake fills with 60-plus farms, bakers, and producers for what people reasonably call the city's biggest farmers market. Browsing is free, there is a coffee truck, and you will end up splitting a warm pastry on the grass by the lake feeling like a competent adult. Buy one small thing for the other to try. The plan, specifically, is no plan.
Drift through 60+ farm and bakery stalls beside the lake, just-picked berries, fresh bread, weird-good preserves, and make it a shared mission: taste samples, meet a dog or six, and buy one small thing each for the other to try. Browsing's free; a few dollars buys a picnic to split on the grass. It runs Saturdays 9am to 2pm, April through October, so bring a tote and small bills. Give it 75 minutes, then cap it with a slow loop of the lake.
