Saturday Grazing at Trout Lake Market

Saturday Grazing at Trout Lake Market

60 stalls, a lake, a coffee truck, and an official 'no plan' plan every Saturday morning in John Hendry Park.

On Saturday mornings, the parking lot beside Trout Lake fills with 60-plus farms, bakers, and producers for what people quite reasonably call the city's biggest farmers market. Browsing is free. There will be a coffee truck. You will find yourself splitting a warm pastry on the grass beside the lake, and it will feel like an extremely competent life decision. The point is to taste things, meet at least one dog, and buy one small thing for the other person to try, without too much of a plan. The plan, specifically, is no plan. Runs Saturdays 9am to 2pm, April through October. Bring a tote and small bills for the inevitable moment you find the thing you absolutely cannot leave without. Then do a slow loop of the lake to feel like you earned it.
