On Saturday mornings the parking lot beside Trout Lake fills with 60-plus farms, bakers, and producers for what people reasonably call the city's biggest farmers market. Browsing is free, there is a coffee truck, and you will end up splitting a warm pastry on the grass by the lake feeling like a competent adult. Buy one small thing for the other to try. The plan, specifically, is no plan.
