Foodie Experiences
Crispy, forearm-length dosas and midnight filter coffee until 3am, for the night that isn't over yet.
House of Dosas has been on Kingsway for over fifteen years, and in that time it has solved the particular problem of the night that won't end: South Indian food, zero pretense, and the lights stay on until 3am. The dosas come golden and improbably large (the size of a forearm is not a marketing claim), the idlis are pillow-soft, and the sambar and coconut chutney are bottomless, because someone here has clearly thought hard about what makes people happy at midnight. Filter coffee at that hour hits differently than it has any right to. The menu is vegetarian, the atmosphere is warm instead of trendy, and 4.5 across over ten thousand reviews means this is not a well-kept secret so much as a civic institution. Tear into a dosa, argue about the crispy end, and solve nothing in the best possible way.
