Opened October 2The Linh Café team's new walk-in noodle bar by Canada Place: Northern style pho, crispy Loong Kong chicken and cocktails in a warm Indochine inspired room.
West Cordova by Canada Place
More infoLinh Noodle Bar is the new sister room to Linh Café, now open at 1029 West Cordova near Canada Place. The pho is Northern Vietnamese style, flat rice noodles in a clear broth with house pickled chili vinegar on the side, and a large bowl is $23.90 whether you go chicken or rare AAA beef. Add bone marrow for $2.50 (you should). For the table, the fried bone-in Fraser Valley Loong Kong chicken is $45 for a half bird, green papaya salad is $12, and cocktails run $16.50 to $19.50. The room leans into Indochine design, with dark wood, a wine wall and Vietnamese folk prints, so it feels like a proper night out without the fuss. Our honest take: it's the easiest good dinner downtown when neither of you wants to plan, because there's nothing to book.
Linh Noodle Bar doesn't take reservations, so just walk in; it's open daily from 11am to 10pm at 1029 West Cordova. Order a large pho each ($23.90, chicken or rare AAA beef), add bone marrow for $2.50, and get a half fried Loong Kong chicken ($45) or green papaya salad ($12) to share. Cocktails run $16.50 to $19.50. Budget about $21 to $65 each before tax and tip. Waterfront Station is under a ten minute walk.
