La Mezcaleria on Commercial Drive bills itself as Canada's first proper mezcaleria, and the claim comes with receipts: a deeply considered selection of small-batch mezcal served as shareable flights, alongside tacos on house-pressed tortillas and traditional sharing plates built the way they're supposed to be built. The vibe is warm and colourful, loud enough to loosen up the conversation but not so loud you're leaning in just to hear an appetizer order.
