More infoThe Mural Festival is gone, but Mount Pleasant kept the best part: for one Saturday, Main Street goes car-free from 16th to King Edward and fills with four stages of free live music, an all-local vendor market and a wall of food trucks. The neighbourhood's murals from the VMF years are still on every alley and side street, so the classic date move survives intact: wander the art between sets, snack your way down the vendor rows, and let the stages pull you along until the street reopens at 8pm.
Enter the car-free zone anywhere between 16th and King Edward and drift: four stages of free music, an all-local vendor market and food trucks the whole way. Between sets, duck into the alleys for the mural walk the old festival left behind. Give it two to three hours, and when the street reopens at 8pm you are already standing in one of the city's best dinner neighbourhoods.
