Late Korean Izakaya at Mr. Bro

A Richmond Korean izakaya running to 2am on weekends, because someone had to do it, and spicy chicken-cheese demanded a late-night home.

Mr. Bro is what happens when a Korean izakaya decides that the suburbs deserve somewhere worth staying late. It runs to 1am on weeknights and 2am on weekends in Golden Village, which is the kind of statistic that sounds unremarkable until you remember this is Richmond. The signature is a bubbling pot of spicy chicken-and-cheese so magnificently over-the-top that you will spend twenty minutes pulling cheese off of it, and that's before the deep spicy beef-brisket stew, the fried whole squid and the honey-garlic chicken arrive. It's loud, generous and built entirely for grazing and talking and ordering one more drink. A 4.4 from 700-plus reviews. Closed Wednesdays, dinner-only from 5pm. Show up hungry and plan to stay.
