Foodie Experiences
Ice cream made on a working 220-acre dairy farm in south Abbotsford, at 16 percent butterfat, with seasonal flavours like pumpkin pie cheesecake.
Fadden Road, south Abbotsford
More infoBirchwood Dairy is a family farm of about 250 cows on Fadden Road, and the ice cream comes from their own milk, made on site at 16 percent butterfat. The counter runs dozens of flavours, from salted caramel and matcha to seasonal ones like pecan pie, eggnog and candy cane. Grab a cone, look at the barns, and take home the farm's chocolate milk.
Check the season before you drive: winter hours, from October 13 to spring break, are Monday to Saturday 9:30 am to 5 pm and closed Sunday; spring and summer add Sundays and later evenings. The ice cream is made on site from the farm's own milk at 16 percent butterfat, with a long flavour board that changes with the season. Get a cone, walk out to see the barns, and grab chocolate milk or cheddar curd from the cooler for later. The petting zoo runs from May to early September. Short on time? One scoop to go.
