Scenic & Romantic
An easy, gorgeous walk beside Butchart Gardens: a shaded descent through big cedars to the calm shore of Tod Inlet.
This is the walk that hides right next to Butchart Gardens and asks nothing of you. From the Wallace Drive trailhead it is a gentle, shaded descent through tall cedar and fir to the quiet water of Tod Inlet, about 2.8 kilometres round trip, with benches at the shore, a little stream and a small beach where the inlet opens up. It is free, it is calm, and it is quietly romantic, the opposite energy of the crowded gardens next door. Distinct from the Jocelyn Hill climb higher in the same park, this one is all ease and water.
