Chez Christophe is what happens when a decorated Swiss chocolatier and patissier sets up on a walkable Burnaby Heights strip and starts pulling espresso. The coffee is good, but the pastries are the event: this is the home of the famous cube croissant, plus macarons and award-winning chocolate work. Mercifully there's ample seating and a patio, so dessert first stays civilised. Confederation Park is a short stroll away.
