It is a counter, a case and a queue: jam-filled and honey-glazed donuts, the golden Oreo lemon one when it turns up, shortbread cut thick in the proper Scottish style, florentines, and savoury pies at prices that have not caught up with the rest of the city. The owners are the sort who remember an order. Take a paper bag and walk it somewhere better, which around here is easy, because Saxe Point, the West Bay Walkway and the Archie Browning rink are all minutes away.
