The Victoria Bug Zoo is an efficient way to stress-test a relationship. Fifty species fill this small downtown room: walking sticks, glowing scorpions, Canada's largest ant colony, and tarantulas the size of a grown hand. The guides will gently suggest you hold one. Someone volunteers, someone films it, neither forgets. It's an hour's visit a short walk from the Empress, so book dinner as a reward for not screaming.
