Willow Stream occupies the entire fifth floor of the Fairmont Pacific Rim: mineral bath, jacuzzi, eucalyptus steam room, dry cedar sauna and a relaxation lounge so calm it should come with a warning label. Book a side-by-side couples treatment, then arrange yourselves in the lounge with the matching smug expressions of two people who made an excellent decision while rain streaks the downtown Coal Harbour windows below. The whole operation is a proper splurge, which is to say: worth it, not accidental, and best padded by arriving early enough to actually use the facilities before your treatment and after. Think of it as a hotel day-pass with the spa bonus included. The view of your own reflection, deeply relaxed, is extremely good.
