More infoDriftwood has been one of the island's most serious breweries since 2008, and since the move to Viewfield Road it finally has a room to drink it in. Sixteen-plus taps run from the Fat Tug everyone already knows to one-off pilot batches that never leave the building, plus local wine, cider and cocktails from the in-house distillery for anyone who would rather not have beer. Dumpling Drop runs the kitchen. The lounge seats sixty, the patio seats sixty more, and it is dog friendly. From the road it looks like a warehouse, which is exactly why it stays this easy to get into.
Find it in the Viewfield industrial pocket, which looks like nothing from the road and then opens into a bright sixty-seat lounge with a patio the same size again. Order a flight if the pilot-system Tideline beers are on, because those never leave the building, and there is local wine, cider and in-house spirits if beer is not the plan. Dumpling Drop runs the kitchen. Doors close at 8:30 Sunday through Thursday and 9:30 Friday and Saturday, and parking is free right outside.
