More infoMacaloney's is the rare spot that makes both its own whisky and its own beer, and the tour is genuinely good: 45 minutes through a working single-malt distillery that ends, sensibly, in a flight. Skip the tour and the Twa Dogs taproom still pours a long list worth grazing. It is a little industrial from the outside and warmer than you expect within, which is a nice arc for a date.
Book the distillery tour ahead if you want the full story, or just walk into the Twa Dogs taproom for a flight and a snack. Either way, order the tasting board so the talking has something to do between sips.
